Justice Badar Durezz Ahmed deferred the hearing as the petitioner did not turn up. Petitioner Sanjay Tiwari Ujala has challenged the candidature of Ms Patil stating the rules stipulated for the Presidential election underlined that the contestant should not have held any post of the office of profit. The petitioner has contended that thousands of people had lost money in Pratibha Patil's Co-operative bank. If Ms Patil was elected at the highest post of the country, the employees of the Mukti Sugar mill, who invested their money in the bank would have no way to get justice, the petitioner stated.
